About Riad No. 37
Behind an unassuming facade on one of the central streets of Marrakech’s Medina lies the design-driven residence Riad No. 37. In traditional Moroccan fashion, the building wraps around inner courtyards, creating a quiet oasis against the hustle and bustle of the Medina.
Stay at Riad No. 37
We consider everyone who stays with us a friend of the house. Book a room or the entire Riad, always including breakfast. Please note that we’re an adults-only residence. At Riad No. 37, every room is unique. A common thread is the use of natural local materials and beautiful handmade details.
Kitchen
At Riad No. 37, we focus on fresh homemade food, made from local ingredients, and with an emphasis on seasonality. Everything’s made from scratch – from the sourdough bread to more elaborate meals – and served family style.
Our in-house kitchen team was trained by Danish chef Klaus Mayer’s culinary center “Um Mami”. Following the example of the renowned New Nordic Cuisine, his New Moroccan Cuisine views traditional techniques and local ingredients through a contemporary lens.
The initiative is a collaboration between the Melting Pot Foundation, the Danish-Arab Partnership Programme (DAAP), and Oxfam IBIS and offers gastronomy training to improve employment opportunities for the local youth.
